PLAD Homes Builder Certification
What certification requires
To earn the credential you complete all seven course modules and pass the certification exit pass (80% or higher). Retakes are free and unlimited, so the requirement is knowing the material, not passing on the first attempt.
Confidentiality & reseller agreements
PLAD product and pricing information is shared with certified builders in confidence. Before your first lesson you sign a brief confidentiality and non-circumvention agreement, and before your certificate and dealer listing are issued you sign an authorized non-exclusive reseller agreement. Both are signed in-app and saved to your account documents.
Lifetime access
Your enrollment is a one-time payment for lifetime access to the course, its updates, and your certificate. There is no recurring fee.
30-day money-back guarantee
If the program isn't right for you, request a refund within 30 days of purchase. Premium refunds return the $199 basic amount, less the card processing fee on the transaction.
Exam retakes
The certification exit pass can be retaken as many times as needed, free of charge. We want you to actually know the material before you carry the certification.
Dealer network listing
On passing, certified builders are added to the public PLAD dealer network and featured toward the top of search results in their area. Listing is opt-in and subject to moderation.
Printed certificates (Premium)
Premium enrollments include a printed certificate mailed to the address you provide. Digital certificates are issued to all certified builders regardless of tier.
Optional field training
In-person workshops with certified instructors are available for an additional fee and are not included in either package.
